Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Secretary-General of the
League of Arab States, set out on an official visit to the Russian
capital, Moscow, early Sunday. The visit comes in response to an
invitation from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Gamal
Roshdy, the official spokesperson for the Secretary-General, said that
the visit will encompass an extensive discussion session with Lavrov,
covering various topics of mutual interest. These discussions will touch
upon regional and international matters, with a particular focus on the
ongoing escalation in the Gaza Strip.
