The League of Arab States' Secretary-General, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, said he welcomes boosting ties between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Turkey. This positive development is evidenced by the elevation of their diplomatic relations to the ambassadorial level, with each nation nominating an ambassador in this capacity.
According to Gamal Roshdy, the spokesperson of the Secretary-General, Mr. Aboul Gheit views this collaborative resolution as a constructive advancement that fosters regional stability and fortifies diplomatic channels as a viable means of conflict resolution. He further emphasised that relations between Arab nations and their neighbouring counterparts should be founded upon the principles of mutual respect, adherence to international law, and the promotion of the common welfare of regional communities.
