    التاريخ: 2019/08/11

Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, condemned the storming of the Temple Mount by Jewish settlers and extremists at the time of Eid prayers, considering that the event, which took place under the auspices of the Israeli occupation forces and at the instigation of it, reflects an ongoing Israeli policy aimed at normalizing the existence Jewish presence in the Haram al-Sharif, and reduce the Islamic presence even on the blessed days when the rituals of Eid prayer are held.

The Secretary-General of the Arab League blamed the Israeli government for this dangerous escalation, which is practiced systematically in order to flirt with extremists, stressing that these deliberate and barbaric policies fuel the flames of fanaticism in the region, and threaten to ignite a religious conflict in the city of Jerusalem. An official source in the Arab League said that its secretary general, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, called on the international community to stand up to this deliberate Israeli campaign that exploits the positions of the American administration and the political cover it provides to it in order to Judaize occupied Jerusalem and in provoking the Palestinians by exposing the Al-Aqsa Mosque and storming it by obsessed extremists. The source quoted Aboul Gheit as saying that the Israeli right still lives in the illusion of full Jewish control over Al-Quds Al-Sharif, stressing that extracting Jerusalem from the Arab and Islamic conscience is impossible, and salute the steadfast Palestinians on the ground in the Holy City, who are breaking the settlers' and extremists' illusions.
