    Date: 27/11/2025

The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States – Media and Communication Sector – participated in the 16th Kuwaiti Week in Egypt, held under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, from 25 to 27 November in Cairo. The event brought together government, diplomatic, and media representatives.

On this occasion, His Excellency Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the Media and Communication Sector, highlighted the League of Arab States pavilion. He noted that the pavilion provided an opportunity to showcase a selection of publications issued by the League and its specialised organisations, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the League's founding.

The publications place particular emphasis on the Palestinian cause and the League's activities in the political, economic, social, and humanitarian fields, in addition to its broad partnerships with major countries and peer organisations.

Ambassador Khattabi added that participation in the event underscores the importance of integration among Arab economies, as reflected in the Egyptian-Kuwaiti relationship, whose sectoral dimensions were prominently featured at the exhibition.

The pavilion, organised by Minister Plenipotentiary Jihan Ashkanani, Director of the Social Communication Department, received visits from several ministers, including the Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi—whose visit coincided with the convening of the 55th session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers—and the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Engineer Hassan Al-Khatib. A number of Arab ambassadors, permanent delegates to the League of Arab States, and public figures also visited the pavilion.
