Continuing the series of events organised annually by the League of Arab States in cooperation with its partners since the launch of Arab Sustainable Development Week in 2017, and coinciding with the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the League's founding this year, we reflect on eight decades of joint Arab action and look forward with confidence to a brighter and more sustainable future.
The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States is organising the sixth edition of the Arab Sustainable Development Week, from 15 to 18 September. The first day's activities will take place at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, with the following days continuing in Cairo.
The Arab Sustainable Development Week serves as a leading regional platform for dialogue and the promotion of joint action on various sustainable development issues in the Arab region. As a prominent regional event, it enjoys broad participation from government institutions, the private sector, civil society, and regional and international organisations.
The sixth edition is being held under the theme "Renewing Visions and Foreseeing the Future" and will focus on three main themes:
Innovation as a Key Driver for Achieving Sustainability in the Arab Region.
New Horizons for Advancing Arab-International Dialogue on Sustainability Issues.
Arab Transformation Towards a Sustainable Future (Outlook).
