The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States inaugurated the 2025 summer training programme for university students at its headquarters on 6 July. The programme was attended by a select group of university students from various Arab countries.

His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Saleh Al-Ajeri, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector, opened the programme with a welcoming speech in which he affirmed the League's commitment to engaging Arab youth in joint Arab action and providing them with the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the working mechanisms of the General Secretariat.

The programme, which will run for a full month, includes a series of lectures and introductory activities delivered by officials and experts from various sectors of the League. Among the most notable sessions during the introductory week are a lecture on the Arab national security sector, which will address current security challenges and coordination mechanisms among member states, and a lecture on social affairs, highlighting the League's efforts in the fields of development, family, and women. An awareness session will also be held on the electoral process and its role in strengthening democratic practices in Arab societies.

The programme further includes field visits to the General Secretariat headquarters, including a tour of the Great Hall, as well as interactive sessions aimed at enhancing communication among students. The first week concludes with a session assigning trainees to various sectors and departments within the General Secretariat, marking the beginning of the specialised practical training period.

The programme reflects the League of Arab States' ongoing commitment to supporting Arab youth and preparing them to become active contributors to the future of joint Arab action.
