    Date: 24/11/2025

The head of the League of Arab States' mission observing the 2025 Egyptian parliamentary elections, Ambassador Hussein Al-Hindawi, visited several polling stations and electoral committees in Port Said Governorate on Monday. Other League teams conducted field visits across various regions and governorates, monitoring the electoral process, which began at 9:00 a.m. on 24 November and will continue until the completion of the counting and tabulation process on the evening of 25 November.

The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, had directed the formation of a League mission, headed by Ambassador Hussein Al-Hindawi, Assistant Secretary-General of the League, to monitor the Egyptian parliamentary elections. This followed an invitation from Counsellor Hazem Badawi, Chairman of the National Elections Authority, and reflects the League's commitment to observing elections held in its member states, as well as its dedication to supporting and strengthening democracy, consolidating good governance, and ensuring the proper conduct of elections.

The mission, which includes a group of observers from the General Secretariat representing several Arab nationalities, has established an operations room responsible for coordination, communication, and gathering information on the course of the electoral process from mission members, in addition to monitoring media coverage of the electoral event.
