The committee will assess applications submitted for the award and select one outstanding contribution in each of the following three categories: clinical practice, nursing and midwifery education, and nursing leadership and management, in accordance with the criteria and conditions outlined in the award's regulations.

Ambassador Abu Ghazaleh added that the Council of Arab Health Ministers had endorsed the Distinguished Work Award in Nursing and Midwifery Professions in Arab Countries as a means of encouraging healthcare professionals and recognising the pivotal and indispensable roles they play.

She affirmed the Council's commitment to strengthening health systems and motivating Arab professionals engaged in nursing and midwifery education and practice. The Council and its technical committees have consistently underscored the importance of enhancing and advancing the quality of nursing services across the Arab region.

Ambassador Abu Ghazaleh concluded by stating that the recommendations arising from this significant meeting will be submitted for consideration at the 62nd Ordinary Session of the Council of Arab Health Ministers and its Executive Office for appropriate action.
