Senior officials from the League of Arab States, Central Asian countries, and the Republic of Azerbaijan convened on 29 April in Doha, Qatar, to prepare for the third session of the Arab Economic and Cooperation Forum. The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Ambassador Tariq Ali Faraj Al Ansari, the Ambassador of Qatar to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States (the hosting country), alongside His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Khalid bin Muhammad Manzalawi, Assistant Secretary-General for International Political Affairs, and His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Maliki, Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs.
The meeting discussed the draft Doha Declaration, slated to be issued during the forum. The discussion sought to establish a cohesive approach to address various shared concerns, notably the war on Gaza, geopolitical challenges, and economic issues pertinent to the Arab region.
