Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, received Dr. Juro Matsut, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, at the General Secretariat headquarters on 18 June.
Gamal Roshdy, the Secretary-General's Spokesperson, stated that both sides exchanged views on the latest developments in political issues of mutual interest at the regional and international levels, particularly the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the recent Israeli attacks on Iran, and the serious repercussions of this escalation on regional and global peace and security.
The Spokesperson added that the two parties also discussed ways to enhance cooperation mechanisms between the General Secretariat and the Republic of Serbia in international forums, with a view to advancing broader prospects for productive cooperation.
