Supporting the Palestinian people, and work to end the Arab- Israeli conflict by the implementation of the resolutions of the international legitimacy, putting an end to the Israeli occupation of Arab territories, the establishment of the free and independent state of Palestine and Jerusalem as its capital on the basis of the borders of 4 June 1967, and moving with the international community to achieve this goal through in 2014.
Dealing effectively with the Syrian crisis, in partnership with the United Nations, to ensure the achievement of the aspirations of the Syrian people in a healthy democratic life, and ensure the preservation of the independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria.
Supporting the national efforts towards the democratic development espoused by the Member States.
Activating the role of the Arab League in facing the critical humanitarian situations resulting from armed conflicts or natural disasters.
Giving high priority to the issues of economic and social development in the Arab world and thus achieving the dream of a common Arab market.
Activating the role of the LAS in the coordination of Arab efforts in the international arena and in the consolidation of the relations with a number of international parties and important actors, and foremost with the African Union (AU), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the European Union (EU), the Russian Federation, the United States, Turkey, China, India, Japan, Europe and South America, through the Strategic Arab Dialogues with those parties or through joint forums.
Working on the development of the LAS and raise the efficiency of its performance to move it out of the first generation of regional and international organizations, which appeared in the first half of the twentieth century, to the new generation so that it can deal with the demands and challenges of the 21st century.
