Arab Unions and Joint Arab Enterprises
Division.
The Department undertakes the
following tasks:
Follow-up on issues and affairs of
joint Arab action institutions (organizations, unions, enterprises and funding
institutions).
Acting as the Technical Secretariat
of:
The Committee of Coordination and
Follow-up of the Economic and Social Council
The Higher Coordinating Committee
for Joint Arab Action.
The annual meeting of the
specialized Arab Unions in cooperation
with the Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU).
Follow-up on the establishment of
new Arab institutions within the framework of the League of Arab States,
(organizations, Ministerial Councils and subsidiary organs).
Coordinate and cooperate with
specialized Arab organizations and unions, follow-up on their activities,
review their programs and projects and make proposals thereof.
Preparing studies and researches of
the joint Arab action organizations.
Represent the Arab League
Secretariat General in meetings of specialized Arab organizations, unions,
companies and civil society organizations, make and submit reports to concerned
authorities.
Follow up on preparing and printing
of the rules and regulations and standardized models of specialized Arab
organizations, and updating data and basic information thereon.
Increasing the effectiveness of
civil society organizations participation in meetings of the Economic and
Social Council and its organs.
Preparing and follow-up on the data
and information of the League of Arab States website concerning joint Arab
action organizations.
